God's Plan - 2011

While it's just been a short time since Janet resigned from working at Joy FM, our local Christian radio station, God's certainly been working "behind" the scenes!  We communicated to the Mission Mobilization office that we were more available, and soon we were told of an opportunity that could use both our sets of business skills!

After a few electronic communications to clarify the assignment and schedules, we've finalized the details for travel.  In only 2 weeks we'll be on the ground in Pilar, Argentina (just outside Buenos Aires), for an-almost-6-month stay!
These kind of assignments are subject to change but the going-in expectations are for us to be helping with Bookkeeping, Office Admin and IT assistance. We will essentially become part of the South America (SAM) Regional Office staff while there and may continue some of that relationship remotely when we return home next spring.  The region's leadership is also very interested in our helping to re-introduce the Bible Quiz Ministry here.  It has a rich past but has not been active for several years as a regional ministry.

We are again depending on God's direction through this whole process and will look forward to the prayer support of our friends! We will also appreciate any monetary support from individuals or churches desiring to help with our insurance, living, and transportation costs. Anyone wishing to assist us financially should write the checks to 'General Treasury Services' with Reinhart, Argentina, and Mission Corps in the memo line.
  • Those checks can be sent to:
  • Global Treasury Services
    Church of the Nazarene
    PO Box 843116
    Kansas City MO 64184-3116

  • Web (electronic) Donations can be done at: http://web.nazarene.org/goto/djreinhart
It's not difficult to imagine all the lists and emails and phone calls that we're making to pull together what we need to know and pack and do in this time!  Nerves and excitement are certainly intermingled with the gratitude that God can use us at this time in our lives!  Knowing that a house is ready for our arrival (and since we've been to Pilar on 2 previous trips with Extreme Nazarene Missions in June 2007 and January 2008), there is a level of comfort.

We'll keep you informed of our experiences in several ways - by email, on our Facebook pages, on the Missouri District Missions page, and this blog.  We covet your prayers and we look forward to hearing from all our friends and family!  Please keep us up-to-date by email, as we should have good Internet access!
